Growing Killer Tomatoes

This tip about tomato growing comes to us via a wonderful information session about community gardens, organized by our awesome colleagues at the Pompano Beach community garden now known as The Fruitful Field.

Remember we are fostering natural and organic methods of gardening: practices that are good for us and good for the earth.

Sign up for a garden plot Saturday Jan. 22 at the Sawgrass Nature Center

The Sawgrass Nature Center, across the street from the community garden and dog park, is having a “wild, urban adventure” from 10 am to 3 pm Saturday January 22. Connect with your inner “wildness” and look for  the community garden signup and information!

A Helpful Hint

On the sidebar to your right is a  helpful link, “Florida Gardening Calendar,”  for suggestions about what vegetables to plant when in South Florida.   This calendar – and a wealth of other information about agriculture and gardening – is from  UF/IFAS (University of Florida/Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences) Extension.  Extension is a partnership between state, county and federal governments to provide scientific knowledge and expertise to the public.

The Coral Springs Community Garden

This is the communications forum for members and friends of the Coral Springs Community Garden in Coral Springs Florida. The Community Garden is a joint effort of the City of Coral Springs Florida, the Rotary Club of Coral Springs and interested citizens of our community.

We wish to extend special thanks to two organizations that provided key donations that helped get this effort off the ground:
Whole Foods Market of Coral Springs
ARC Broward

The garden is adjacent to the Dr. Steven G. Paul Dog Park, located at 2575 Sportsplex Drive, Coral Springs, FL.
